Prices vary with the type and complexity of the procedure. Every plan is quoted in writing after diagnostics, and nothing is booked until you have agreed it.

Diagnosis and treatment
How long is the first comprehensive diagnostics visit?
About 30 minutes. The second visit, where we present your treatment plan, is also up to 30 minutes. If you live outside Edinburgh or travel a lot, the presentation can happen on a video call, and we will plan the treatment visits into a compact schedule around you.
What is checked during comprehensive diagnostics?
A full examination of the mouth, an intraoral scan, digital x-rays and a 3D scan where needed, photographs, and a conversation about what you want. Everything is done in one visit.
What is a digital smile design?
A 3D model of your mouth with the proposed result built on top of it, so you can see your future smile, and adjust it, before anything is done.
How long does the treatment plan take to prepare?
Usually five working days. Complex plans involving implants and full-arch work can take up to ten.
What does the treatment coordinator do?
Runs your plan: books the visits, explains the costs, answers questions between visits and is your single point of contact from start to finish.
Can I have my scans and records?
Yes. Everything we take is yours, sent digitally on request, and the plan can be printed.
Services and prices
Why do prices only come after diagnostics?
Because an honest price needs a diagnosis. The Perfect Smile assessment is a fixed £240; everything after it is quoted in writing before it is booked.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes, interest-free over up to twelve months on plans over £1,000, arranged through a regulated finance partner.
Are you taking NHS patients?
No. Mossgate is a private studio. We will say so plainly before you book, and we can suggest NHS practices nearby if that suits you better.
Comfort and safety
I am frightened of the dentist. Can you help?
Most of our patients were. Sedation is available for longer treatments, the rooms are private, and nothing happens until you have said yes to it.
Can I bring someone with me?
Yes, to every visit.
What do you do about pain?
Modern anaesthesia, applied slowly, and a hand signal that stops everything. Nobody here is in a hurry.

There is parking close by, and we refund it while you are with us.
Is the studio accessible?
Step-free from the street, a lift to the treatment floor, and an accessible toilet.
